Child & Adolescent Therapy In New Hampshire
Helping Kids and Teens Feel Heard, Understood, and Supported
Is your child acting out, shutting down, or struggling emotionally—but can’t seem to explain why?
Are you worried about your teen’s anxiety, mood swings, or social withdrawal?
Do you feel helpless watching your child hurt and unsure how to help?
Therapy provides a safe, compassionate space where kids and teens can work through their feelings, build confidence, and develop healthier coping strategies.
When to Consider Therapy for Your Child or Teen
Children and adolescents may not always have the words to explain their struggles—but their behavior often speaks volumes.
I work with young people facing:
- Anxiety, panic, or excessive worry
- Mood changes, irritability, or depression
- Anger outbursts or defiance
- School refusal or academic stress
- Bullying or peer issues
- Grief, divorce, or family transitions
- Low self-esteem or body image concerns
- Trauma, abuse, or neglect
How Therapy Helps Children and Teens
Through age-appropriate, creative, and developmentally sensitive therapy approaches (including play, talk, and expressive methods), your child can:
- Understand and express their emotions
- Improve behavior and emotional regulation
- Strengthen self-esteem and identity
- Build problem-solving and coping skills
- Improve communication with family and peers
- Heal from trauma or difficult experiences
Family Involvement
Parental support is essential. Children under age 16, a parent is required to stay on premises if sessions are in person. I involve caregivers as appropriate—offering feedback, guidance, and resources to support your child outside of sessions. I also offer caregiver only sessions, catered to support the child.
